What I obtained from the poem is that to truly live life one has to soak it in, to take it and absorb it to “seize the day” even and when you have done this you have truly lived life to its fullest.

That first quote is fantastic, MG! It’s like this voice I need in my head to say “Seriously, calm down and move on. You mad thing.” It’s like a slightly less esoteric version of the things that go on with Beshara, this non-profit organisation thing… oh it’s hard to explain. They’re involved with a school in Scotland which runs intensive courses where the students study Ibn Arabi and Rumi and all these wonderful concepts. Rumi’s poetry is very dear to my heart, as I’m a Beshara kid.

I enjoyed reading the second poem more, by Emerson, It is unfortunate the poem’s truth and reality Isn’t seen very often in today’s society. What I obtained from the poem is that to truly live life one has to soak it in, to take it and absorb it to “seize the day” even and when you have done this you have truly lived life to its fullest.
