Early Morning to Work- Crossing the Iron-Cove Bridge by Train 6am

Dawnlight freshens the world anew
Cool, orange glow over Olympic Park
The river glows
Early morning skiffs
Oars suspended over the glaze
Rest
Taking in the morning’s
Halo of blessings.

I really like the last 2 lines of your poem! There’s just something about the morning that I just can’t put my finger on… it’s so peaceful! I think “halo of blessings” describes it very well though.

Thanks Karlie- writing these few lines just helped me to deepen my appreciation of what was happening around me… I think that is what poetry is for…
