Love & Intellect: Recipe for Peace

Come and be stimulated by presentations and discussions on the mysticism of Rumi, St John of the Cross, Meister EckhartHadewijch of Antwerp and others in this exciting interfaith presentation by the Al Ghazzali Centre, ACU and ACU’s SLA (The Sacred in Literature and the Arts Group).  These mystical writers have a vitally important message for our own times. Dear Prof MG, I was excited to recieve the draft unit outline for ENGL200. I am jealous of your New York, NY bound students, however I have gotten a start on Emma and Hard Times and promptly purchased The Death of Ivan Ilyich and other Tolstoy stories. A second year subject for a catalyst student is awesome going! Hopefully, my brain will get the literary juices flowing here at one of my spaces for study. Reading English is like a second nature to me, and although I have a short attention span, I will read and read again to allay my fear of perfoming poorly in knowing what exactly you will be talking about. I am confused as to the subjective experience differentiating between reason and feeling. Please do help me to understand what our uni requires of students in explicating reason and emotion within the literature.
